Golden Geckos (Age 12 - 17)
These courses will follow the NICAS syllabus. NICAS is a UK wide scheme designed to promote climbing development. The scheme is administered by the Association of British Climbing Walls Trust (ABCTT) and is recognised by the British Mountaineering Council and the Mountaineering Council of Scotland.
This course is an introduction to climbing covering; Safety and good practice - taking responsibility for the safety of yourself and others, Introduction to climbing equipment, rope work and climbing techniques including footwork, body movement and positioning to enhance performance.

Youth Climbing Club (Age 12-17)
This Club is aimed at young climbers who have passed NICAS level 3 and are looking to progress their climbing in a fun and social environment. The sessions will be lead by the participants with the support and supervision of our Instructor. Sessions will focus on enhancing and improving on technique taught in level 3 NICAS. As well as learning how to do develop into a strong and efficent climber.
Growing Geckos (Age 8-11)
This Club is designed to get young climbers comfortable in all areas of the Centre. Each weekly session will be split between the auto belays and an aditional focus to include; bouldering or rope work.
Little Geckos (Age 5-7)
Our Little Geckos Club is based on our auto belay wall and offers a fun introduction to climbing.

Available to adults who would like a refresher after taking a break from climbing. Includes equipment hire and GGC ‘Go Climb!’ card on successful completion of Centre assessment.
Available to adults who are new to climbing and or have limited climbing experience our courses are made up of 6 hours of instruction and a 1 hour assessment. We run this as 4 x 2 hour sessions with the final session being made up of the assessment and 1 hour of climbing afterwards. The course is designed to take you from little or no climbing experience to being able to fit a harness correctly, tie in a belay safely. We will also cover the basics of bouldering. On successful completion of the course and and our assessment you will have full centre access.
It is essential you are able to make the first session, after this it may, if spaces are available, be possible to make up a missed session within the other course. Inductions run on Thursdays 7.00pm - 9.00pm and Saturdays 5.00pm - 7.00pm.
